Syrah

SYRAH

Despite the Syrah grape having a 2,000 year old history, it has only been planted in Istria in the last few years but with very satisfactory results.  This has been proved by results, as it produces some superb quality wines, particularly when grown on sunny, south facing vineyard slopes, with a small yield on the vine.

Syrah or Shiraz as it is called in Australia, again originates from France, this time the Rhone valley. It is still widely grown in France and many other countries around the world, including Croatia.
