CHARDONNAY

Chardonnay is a highly adaptable grape, able to thrive in many different geographical and geological conditions, and although it is cultivated in almost every wine growing region of the world, it definitely seems to love our vineyards!

As everyone knows chardonnay originates from Burgundy. Recent research has found that Chardonnay originated from crossbreeding Pinot Noir and Gouais blanc. Since Gouais blanc is considered to have originated in Croatia, we are proud to have an albeit tenuous genetic link to such an internationally renowned grape!
